Sunday Breakfasts

Since my family and I moved to our new area in 2017, we’ve started doing this special routine of doing a big family breakfast everyday Sunday morning. It typically consists of eggs (either scrambled or fried), bacon and any other options such as toast, hashbrowns, English muffins, etc.
At first when we began doing these special meals I will admit it was quite challenging for me. This was because of how I was in my last year of high school at the time and we moved. The stress from all of these resulted in me not wanting to do it so early in the morning and giving my family a hard time.
Yet I still made myself go along and do it just to get it over with. While I have had moments of being out of it when cooking (mostly because I’m not a morning person to be honest), I still was able to make competently-made breakfasts for my family.
In fact I’ve even been able to serve breakfasts for people outside of my immediate family such as aunts, uncles, grandparents as well as girlfriends for my brother and cousin. Christmas mornings also saw me be able to help serve these special breakfasts for my family.
Sure there were many bumps in the road at first from me being bothered by what I was going through at the time, but I have gotten substantially more consistent from thinking about what my family wants as opposed to focusing on myself.
We still have Sunday breakfasts today, but there’s just not as many people that join us.

Scrambled eggs and bacon are the most commonly served foods on these Sunday breakfasts.
